Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world. Whether you are catching an early morning flight or arriving late at night, getting to and from the airport should be the least of your worries.
Here is a complete guide to navigating IGI Airport transfers, and why booking a dedicated airport transfer service with Rides On Call is your best bet.
Understanding IGI Airport Terminals
IGI Airport has three main terminals:
- Terminal 1 (T1): Primarily for domestic flights (IndiGo, SpiceJet).
- Terminal 2 (T2): Used for certain domestic flights (IndiGo, Air India Express).
- Terminal 3 (T3): The largest terminal, handling both international flights and major domestic carriers.
Pro Tip: Always double-check your ticket to confirm which terminal you need to go to. Getting from T1 to T3 can take 15-20 minutes by car.
Common Problems with Airport Cabs
Many travelers face issues like:
- Surge Pricing: App-based cabs often surge their prices by 2x or 3x during peak hours or bad weather.
- Last-Minute Cancellations: Drivers cancelling rides because they don’t want to deal with airport traffic.
- Hidden Charges: Being asked to pay extra for luggage or tolls after reaching the airport.
